What a wonderful run chase

What a run chase!Wonderful. There are hundreds from both Conway and Mitchell which have taken New Zealand to victory .292 is not an easy target against a side like England. And if we see the conditions,it is surely a competitive target. With the loss of two wickets, chase is not going to be as easy. But the efforts of Conway and Mitchell have completely changed the scene. They completed the target with 26 balls to spare. It was surely a valiant effort from the New Zealand batters. Both Conway and Mitchell are pushing hard in their careers. Mitchell has 3 centuries in his last of 5 games. What a commandable performance!Chris Woakes started well with the new ball, but runs continuously leaked from the other end.Topley was struggling for rhythm and Willey was not with his best of form. It allowed New Zealand to get away and England failed to pull them back.Mitchell joined Conway at 117/2 and moved to put on an unbeaten stand of 180 for the third wicket, both of them getting to their centuries in the process. It can be said that Conway  was more calculated, but Mitchell was the real aggressor. Mitchell was particularly severe on Adil Rashid when victory was not far away, with the Adil going with an economy of 9runs  per over. New Zealand pacers had used the slower short balls towards the death, but England failed in repeating this and when tried, met with a careful Mitchell who played the pull usefully. He was in good touch and used his form to complete the chase. Overall, it has been a good oneday game.Stokes was good today.Stokes is getting his new role again in this format of the game.Good contributions from Butler and Livingstone can't be ignored.
