Across the Miles
Across the Miles
The stars grow heavy with secrets we keep,
In dreams, you’re the breath I ache to meet.
Your voice, a whisper, soft and low,
Through distance and silence, I feel its glow.
My fingers trace where yours might be,
Lost in this wild, relentless need.
I close my eyes and see you there,
A flash of warmth, the midnight air.
Your lips, your skin, so far yet near,
Each heartbeat pulls me, fierce and clear.
A fire stirs that won’t relent,
In longing’s ache, desire’s ascent.
And though the miles may stretch and bind,
I’ll hold you close within my mind.
For love like this can’t fade away—
I’m bound to you, come what may.
