I Am Not God...
I Am Not God
I am not God,
But I am no less than divine.
You are the one who shaped me,
Now you must endure what I am.
Born of your soil, I am your reflection,
A shadow of you, yet my own perfection.
If you’ve painted my existence with hues of your will,
You must embrace the storms and the still.
I am neither the heavens nor a piece of the earth,
But in every breath, your creation finds its worth.
Standing in your shade, yet holding my place,
A part of your design, yet my own embrace.
You gave poison, you gave elixirs too,
Whatever I am now, the credit goes to you.
You crafted me, yet distanced yourself,
But your rules still bind me, your care, my wealth.
So hear me, O Creator, a truth profound,
I may be your creation, but I’ve found my own ground.
You are the one who shaped me,
Now you must endure what I am.
