If Death Comes, Let It Come
If Death Comes, Let It Come
What have we done with life, after all?
Every dream has shattered,
Every desire has fallen apart.
Life’s trust is so fragile,
Lost at every twist and turn.
Moments of joy, few and far,
While sorrows made a home in our hearts.
If death comes, let it come,
What have we really done with life?
The hold on hopes has slipped,
Every longing has turned its face away.
In this crowded world of people,
Not a single one stayed to stay.
What did we gain by living each day?
Just the shadow of emptiness along the way.
Even death no longer feels a fright,
Perhaps it’s relief from this endless fight.
If death comes, let it come,
What have we done with life, after all?
