Lord Rama from the Ramayana

1. Born in Ayodhya, divine and pure,

Rama, the prince, a blessing sure,

In Dasharatha's home, he came to earth,

To bring virtue and heavenly worth.

2. Four brothers bonded with love and grace,

United in heart, they held their place,

With duty and honor guiding their way,

Rama’s life a bright pathway.

3. Respecting his parents with utmost care,

Fulfilling each vow they’d declare,

He left the palace and throne aside,

To follow dharma with humble pride.

4. Seeing no difference, loving all,

Rama’s life was duty’s call,

Under sage Vashistha's wise sight,

He learned to live with righteous light.

5. Kaikeyi's promise kept with pain,

Dasharatha’s heart broke in vain,

Rama embraced exile with grace,

A lesson in sacrifice's embrace.

6. With Sita and Lakshmana, he went afar,

Strength in spirit, like a guiding star,

Bearing hardships with faith and peace,

Their devotion to duty did never cease.

7. In Dandaka’s forest, far and deep,

Saints found solace, no need to weep,

Rama protected them from the night,

Vanquishing demons with righteous might.

8. Friendship with Sugriva, loyal and true,

Slaying Vali with aims pure too,

With a friend’s alliance and cause,

Rama fulfilled his sacred laws.

9. In Sita's absence, he mourned and sought,

Through forests dense, he searched and fought,

With Hanuman’s aid, his ally strong,

Together, they righted many wrongs.

10. Crossing the ocean’s vast embrace,

To Lanka’s shores, he set his pace,

With courage high, he faced his fate,

Bringing down Ravana’s pride and hate.

11. Vibhishana found Rama’s grace,

Taught that virtue holds its place,

Even in those with demon’s face,

Goodness still can find its space.

12. To Lanka he brought peace and right,

Ending Ravana's ruthless might,

For the world to see, through sword and flame,

Rama upheld dharma’s name.

13. In purity, Sita stood the test,

Her virtue shone above the rest,

Rama, reunited with his queen,

Their love and honor, noble and serene.

14. Returning home after years away,

Ayodhya bloomed on that bright day,

Citizens rejoiced in boundless cheer,

Their prince and king was finally near.

15. Crowned as king, a joyous hour,

Ram Rajya began with strength and power,

A reign of peace, a golden age,

Rama’s wisdom on every page.

16. His rule brought justice to every door,

Ayodhya prospered, rich and sure,

All hearts held Rama deep inside,

Guided by virtue, love, and pride.

17. As symbol of truth, in grace he stood,

Kind and strong, wise and good,

In every soul, his lessons shine,

Teaching love and law divine.

18. Sita’s sacrifice he embraced,

Holding the people's trust he faced,

A king who placed justice above,

Though bound by sorrow and endless love.

19. A life of honor, pure and just,

In Rama’s name, we place our trust,

An ideal for all to seek and see,

A guiding light for you and me.

20. O Rama, with love we bow,

Bless us all, guide us now,

With you our souls find peace,

In dharma’s path, let grace increase.

Through Lord Rama’s life, we find inspiration to walk the paths of righteousness, love, and compassion—a message carried in this poem.
