I am telling the truth,

One day I will leave, leaving everything behind.

I will no longer be yours,

I am not lying.

Don’t cry,

Understand that I have died for you.

Place a stone on your heart,

Forget everything,

And move on.

I was just a wave that was bound to crash,

And now, I have returned to the ocean.

I was a gust of wind,

That touched you only once.

I was a river,

In which you dipped your feet just once.

Apart from that, I was nothing,

I was never anything more than that.

Just a drop that has merged into the ocean,

I have reached my destination.
