Now, there’s no one left of my age...
Now, there’s no one left of my age,
All my companions have departed, turning the page.
With whom I spent the moments of life,
All their faces have faded into twilight.
A strange loneliness surrounds my days,
As if all my loved ones have drifted away.
The caravan of happiness has vanished somewhere,
Now, every day of life feels barren and bare.
Memories sometimes come as a soothing balm,
And at times drown me in a sea of qualms.
Those who shared laughter and endless cheer,
Are now shadows that whisper from somewhere near.
After a certain age, life seems to pause,
Every breath feels like a heavy clause.
No new hopes, no fresh dreams arise,
Just the echoes of bygone days fill my skies.
Once, every moment of life was bright,
Each morning’s sun felt precious and right.
Now, every evening seems long and deep,
As if the night itself whispers secrets to keep.
In this solitude, questions often appear,
Is this truly the end that life steers near?
Why do relationships slowly fade away?
Why do dreams with loved ones sway?
I speak to myself in this empty space,
As if my shadow were a friend to embrace.
Each moment, I try to reason with my mind,
Crafting pictures of the days left behind.
This age now feels like a written tale,
Where every chapter is a past unveiled.
But even these words seem to blur and decay,
As time's hands slowly take them away.
Life has become a burdensome book,
Filled with incomplete stories wherever I look.
At times, I wish to turn its pages fast,
But pain reflects on every corner I’ve passed.
Now, carrying this weight, I continue to survive,
Speaking to the echoes that help me strive.
The laughter and songs seem far away,
As if the music of time has gone astray.
Yet, breaths persist, moving me ahead,
With distant hopes, the heart is led.
Perhaps, a light awaits far beyond,
To rekindle the soul where dreams respond.
Now, there’s no one left of my age,
All my companions have departed, turning the page.
But before this journey reaches its end,
I pray for moments to live again, to mend.
Before this journey reaches its destined close,
May solace bloom where despair grows.
Perhaps at some turn, peace may appear,
Where lost loved ones feel near and dear.
Every moment of life teaches a thing,
Even pain often a hidden path brings.
Perhaps this is nature’s eternal plan,
Where every end births a new span.
Today I stand alone, but hope lingers on,
A distant light still waits at dawn.
Where life may smile and shine anew,
And fill the voids with a vibrant hue.
At every step, memories walk along,
Their sweetness hums like an eternal song.
What’s gone has left with the stream of time,
But the heart craves a battle, a climb.
Now, there’s no one left of my age,
Yet, there’s a candle of hope lit at every stage.
I journey to find meaning in this strife,
And cherish the moments left in this life.
Each breath hums a song once more,
I find conversations within my soul’s core.
Life may feel heavy, like a load to bear,
Yet, I treasure each moment with love and care.
For this is life—a journey tough and profound,
Where every traveler meets joy and sorrow all around.
Still, we move, even if paths break apart,
Beyond every pain lies a doorway to the heart.
