✨ “The Eternal Light of Diwali”✨
✨ “The Eternal Light of Diwali”✨
In the hush before twilight’s fall,
Whispers of lamps begin to call,
From every heart, from every door,
Awakens the light that sleeps no more.
Golden threads in the velvet sky,
Twinkle as prayers to gods on high,
Each spark, a promise, soft yet grand,
Binding heaven and mortal land.
The wind smells sweet with marigold,
Stories of ages gently told,
Of Rama’s homecoming, calm and bright,
Banishing centuries of night.
The diyas bloom like stars on earth,
Marking a season of joy and rebirth,
Each flame a spirit’s tender song,
A whisper that good has conquered wrong.
Children’s laughter fills the street,
Echoing where shadows meet,
Crackers burst in colored might,
Sketching dreams across the night.
The air hums low with temple chime,
A rhythm beyond the bounds of time,
Incense spirals in sacred grace,
As hearts awaken to love’s embrace.
Mothers weave sweets of silver hue,
Decked with saffron, honey, and dew,
Fathers light lamps with steady hands,
As peace descends upon the lands.
In every home a tale is spun,
Of faith restored, of battles won,
Yet beyond the myth and lore’s delight,
Lies a deeper call of light.
For Diwali is not mere gold and flame,
Nor a fleeting joy we cannot name,
It’s the dawn of truth within the soul,
The moment the shattered self turns whole.
It’s when we cleanse the mind’s decay,
And let compassion find its way,
When hearts, once dim, begin to glow,
And kindness in full bloom does grow.
Beyond the lamps, the sweets, the mirth,
It is the rebirth of inner worth,
A vow to live with brighter eyes,
To lift the fallen, to empathize.
The goddess smiles where purity stays,
Lakshmi walks on luminous ways,
But she dwells not where greed resides,
Only where humility abides.
As night unrolls its jeweled scroll,
The stars seem prayers, softly whole,
And every heart, with warmth and cheer,
Becomes a temple, still and clear.
The city glows, but the truest fire
Is lit within by soul’s desire,
To vanquish hate, to forgive, to see—
That light begins in you and me.
When dawn returns in saffron hue,
And petals shimmer in morning dew,
The world, renewed, begins again,
Freed from sorrow, freed from pain.
O Diwali, feast of flame and grace,
You paint serenity on time’s face,
Your brilliance hums a sacred art—
To light the world, begin with heart.
And so each lamp we gently raise,
Is not just ritual, but praise—
For in that glow, both near and far,
We find the gods not where they are—
But here, within, beneath our skin,
Where every light begins to begin.
