You ask me, Why do I always come to you?
Rupesh Ranjan tells:
You ask me,
Why do I always come to you?
Because I am thirsty,
And a thirsty soul
Finds its own way to the well.
You may not know it,
But you are more than a person to me;
You are the quiet comfort
My restless heart keeps searching for.
Like a traveler lost in the dark
Who walks toward a distant light,
I leave every road behind
And somehow find my way to you.
There is something in your presence,
Something in your voice,
That calms storms
No one else can even see.
I do not come because I must;
I come because my heart has learned
That peace lives where you are.
The moon returns
To the same sky every night.
The river spends its entire journey
Searching for the sea.
So why should it seem strange
That I always find my way back to you?
You ask me,
Why do I come to you again and again?
Because some bonds
Are not built by reason.
Some loves
Do not need explanations.
And if my heart has only one destination,
If every prayer I whisper
Carries your name,
If every dream I dream
Begins and ends with you,
Then tell me,
Where else could I possibly go?
I am thirsty,
And you are the well
From which my soul drinks love.
